Hyundai debuts AI infotainment system on new Grandeur sedan

15-May-2026

Hyundai Motor has launched the facelifted Grandeur sedan in South Korea, describing it as a blend of the vehicle's long-standing luxury heritage with cutting-edge software-defined vehicle (SDV) technologies. Grandeur is Hyundai Motor's most iconic flagship sedan, and since its debut in July 1986, the model has remained at the forefront of South Korea's premium sedan market for nearly four decades.

The new Grandeur is powered by Hyundai Motor's latest AI infotainment system and a next-generation hybrid powertrain. It is the first model equipped with the carmaker's first mass-produced infotainment system featuring its AI-powered voice assistant, dubbed Gleo AI, integrated into its Pleos Connect infotainment system with a newly developed hybrid system. At the heart of the cabin is a 17-inch central display that delivers a more immersive and intuitive user experience, with a high-resolution screen that allows drivers and passengers to seamlessly access navigation, media, vehicle settings and other functions at a glance.

The redesigned Grandeur marks Hyundai Motor's major transition toward the SDV era. Powered by the large language model-based generative AI assistant, drivers can access a highly personalized in-vehicle experience through natural conversational interactions. Gleo AI can conduct knowledge searches, recommend travel itineraries and engage in contextual conversations, functioning as an intelligent mobility assistant capable of proactively delivering relevant information to drivers.
