Easelink, SEG Automotive partner to advance the launch of automated EV charging

24-Jul-2026

Easelink and SEG Automotive have entered into a partnership to accelerate the industrialization and market rollout of Matrix Charging, an automated electric vehicle charging technology that eliminates the need for drivers to manually plug in charging cables.

Under the agreement, the two companies plan to collaborate on initial original equipment manufacturer series-production projects, aiming to expand access to automated charging solutions for vehicle manufacturers.

SEG Automotive is also preparing to add Matrix Charging to its product portfolio through a technology licensing arrangement. The company plans to offer OEMs charging solutions based on Easelink’s technology, enabling easier integration of automated charging functions into future EV platforms.

As part of the collaboration, SEG Automotive will join the Matrix Charging Interest Group (MCIG), an industry body focused on developing and standardizing Matrix Charging technology. The group brings together companies from across the automated charging value chain to promote interoperability and support the development of a common industry standard.

The companies said growing demand for greater user convenience, emerging autonomous driving functions and the integration of EVs into smart energy systems are increasing the need for automated charging solutions.

They further added that the partnership is expected to accelerate ongoing development efforts while providing additional automakers with more efficient access to Matrix Charging technology, supporting the broader adoption of automated EV charging and future autonomous mobility applications.
