Silicon Motion and MediaTek showcase AI-ready automotive cockpit platform at FMS 2026

31-Jul-2026

Silicon Motion Technology Corp. said MediaTek will join its FMS 2026 keynote on Aug. 4 to showcase an AI-ready automotive cockpit platform that uses Silicon Motion storage technologies.

The presentation will feature MediaTek’s latest automotive cockpit platform powered by Silicon Motion’s automotive storage technologies, the companies said. The session is intended to show how storage supports data-intensive workloads in next-generation intelligent vehicles.

The keynote, titled “Storage Powering Agentic AI Everywhere: From Physical Intelligence to Assured AI Infrastructure,” is scheduled for 2:20 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Speakers will include Stanley Huang, associate vice president of Edge SSD Business at Silicon Motion; Waheed Ahmed, director of automotive system architecture at MediaTek; and Shamil Sharief, senior director of enterprise product marketing at Silicon Motion.

"As AI workloads become increasingly data-intensive, storage architecture has become the performance foundation for intelligent systems — from AI-defined vehicles to AI factories," said Huang. "Together with MediaTek, we're showcasing how advanced storage architecture delivers intelligent data management, predictable performance, and the reliability required for the next generation of AI-defined vehicles."

"AI is transforming vehicles into intelligent computing platforms, creating new demands for high-performance and reliable data infrastructure," said Ahmed. "Our collaboration with Silicon Motion demonstrates how advanced computing and intelligent storage together enable the future of AI-ready vehicles."

Silicon Motion said it will also discuss how intelligent storage is developing for Agentic AI, from edge applications to AI infrastructure in data centers. The company said its automotive storage and Enterprise SSD technologies, including PerformaShape, are part of that effort.
