Kognic has partnered with South Korea’s Mobilix to provide production-grade human feedback tooling and expert services for autonomous driving and physical AI data flywheels in South Korea.
The collaboration will make Kognic’s annotation platform and Mobilix’s field execution services available to South Korean customers who are building data pipelines for autonomous vehicles and robots. The companies said the services are intended to support data collection, curation, annotation and iterative training, validation, and retraining.
The offering is aimed at teams working on Mobilix’s Robo-bus and Robo-taxi operations, as well as Level 2+ advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving developers. It will focus on operational data used to handle growing data complexity and volume, scaled quality requirements, unexpected situations or rare events, and the relationship between data and model behavior.
Gothenburg-based Kognic specializes in human feedback for ADAS and autonomous driving. Its platform processes non-synchronized multisensor data from cameras, lidar and radar, and provides labeling and review tools for temporal data logs across annotation use cases.
Kognic said its tools include automated quality checks and AI-guided human inspection for safety-critical work. The company has also introduced Language Grounding, human feedback tools for training and validating Vision Language Models, aimed at helping automated vehicles reason why actions should be taken rather than only identifying what is around the vehicle.
Mobilix will lead customer-facing work in South Korea, covering autonomous driving software development and service operations. The company works on autonomous driving functions, decision-making and control, sensor-driven processing, movement planning, autonomous driving middleware and proprietary environments, and it operates the Level 4 autonomous ROii Shuttle.
