KPIT becomes the first certified partner in Basemark’s Rocksolid ecosystem, bringing engineering, integration and validation capabilities

Basemark has entered into a strategic collaboration with KPIT Technologies to accelerate the development and large-scale rollout of next-generation multiscreen human-machine interface (HMI) systems for automotive original equipment manufacturers. KPIT has joined Basemark's Rocksolid ecosystem as its first certified partner, a step intended to help automakers move more quickly to production-grade HMI programs while meeting automotive requirements for safety, reliability and performance.

Basemark said KPIT has supported more than 20 million vehicles globally over the past two decades through end-to-end software capabilities spanning infotainment, digital cockpits, connectivity and embedded platforms, and that the partnership broadens the reach of the Rocksolid platform by adding an experienced engineering partner. The companies said the collaboration comes as vehicles increasingly shift toward software-defined platforms, with HMI becoming a key factor in brand identity and customer experience, even as OEMs face pressure to deliver customized interfaces while complying with safety, reliability and performance requirements and scaling them across multiple platforms and display domains.

Rocksolid provides a high-performance software platform for advanced HMI and augmented reality (AR) development and supports modern workflows, including AI-assisted creation, modification and debugging of HMI assets and application logic, while KPIT contributes automotive software engineering, digital cockpit solutions, systems integration, validation and global delivery. KPIT will use Rocksolid Studio and Rocksolid Engine under the Rocksolid Certified Partner Program, which it said is designed to give OEMs confidence in executing large-scale HMI programs with partners that have demonstrated technical capability and delivery maturity on the Rocksolid platform. The companies said the work will focus on reducing development risk and accelerating deployment of advanced HMI, AR head-up display, digital cockpit and multidisplay experiences by combining Rocksolid's platform with KPIT's engineering, integration and delivery capabilities.
