Third-generation vehicle platform leverages core advantage of the previous generation platform, enabling a stable design with a lower center of gravity

Hyundai has announced that its all-new Sonata is based on its next-generation vehicle platform, the automaker said in a press release today (13 March). The South Korean automaker claims its third-generation vehicle platform has helped its eight-generation flagship car significantly reduce weight and improve fuel efficiency. The new structure has also helped the car achieve better durability and improved collision safety. The car is also expected to deliver improved power and driving performance. The new Sonata will go on sale in South Korea later this month.
