Rapid Response: Impact analysis of US automotive tariff actions - Issue #14

With this edition of Rapid Response, we find the situation largely continues in a holding pattern, with frequent comments from the Administration on high tariffs to come for countries where negotiations have become difficult. An extended pause for the reciprocal tariffs introduced on April 3 to August 1 has been announced, but with individual countries notified of what their future tariff rates will be in if a trade deal is not agreed during the pause.
