Bo Andersson highlights potential of Russian market, SupplierBusiness unveils its SuRe Index

Last week’s Automotive News Congress in Cologne provided yet again a great opportunity for the great and good of the industry to meet. One of the highlights was Bo Andersson providing an insightful and entertaining presentation, as usual, analysing the challenges of the Russian marketplace from the perspective of his position of CEO of the GaZ Group. He commented that the market there is currently under-developed, representing only 7% of worldwide production, and with only 3% of Russia’s GDP being automotive related compared with 6% in Europe. He also sees the potential of a youthful market, pointing to the fact that one third of the Russian population is under 35.
