Overcapacity causes serious problems for OEMs and suppliers around the world

The last year has seen the price of steel and other materials vital to car manufacture become a much larger issue than previously. After decades of overcapacity, excess demand over supply, principally due to the economic growth in China, pushed steel prices to levels not seen for two decades, causing serious problems for OEMs and suppliers around the world.
