The French supplier’s Emission Control Technologies business has become the biggest contributor to its growth
Faurecia’s acquisition of EMCON Technologies in 2009 was a major milestone in the company’s history. Although the French supplier had a sizea- ble presence in the European exhaust sys- tem market for many years, the acquisi- tion of what was once the exhaust system business of former ArvinMeritor instantly expanded the company’s presence in key international markets such as North America and Asia. It reinforced Faurecia’s research and development (R&D) capabili- ties through brining in seven R&D centres and over 800 engineers and technicians.
