Alcoa introduces new lightweight aluminium wheels with improved load capacity
Primarily aimed at trailers and trucks
Alcoa has introduced four new lightweight aluminium wheels at the on-going IAA Commercial Vehicles event in Hannover (Germany). The new wheels, developed by Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products (AWTP), are up to 44% lighter than steel equivalents. Two of the new wheels provide greater load capacities, which are unavailable in steel, says Alcoa.
