Vauxhall stops production at Ellesmere Port and Luton plants in UK for a week
Move to avoid stock build-up in wake of declining European demand
Vauxhall has begun a week-long shutdown at two of its plants in the UK in order to avoid inventory build-up. A BBC report states that Vauxhall’s plants at Ellesmere Port in Cheshire and Luton, Bedfordshire have been temporarily closed, starting yesterday (24 September).
