Audi could consider further stoppages at its sites in Germany if the downturn in European demand continues. The head of Audi's works council Peter Mosch told Reuters in an interview that although the stoppages that took place in October "are sufficient for a short-term period," he added: "should the market situation deteriorate considerably at the start of next year, then it is possible that further action may have to be taken". Having already undertaken the halts at its Neckarsulm (Germany), Mosch said that this could be followed by stoppages at its main plant in Ingolstadt (Germany).
