German OEMs push for concessions on EU's proposed 2020 emissions regulations

The German industry body, the VDA, wants its member to get more "supercredits" to sell higher emitting vehicles in exchange for a commitment to redouble production of low-emission models.

German OEMs are lobbying to make an increased number of vehicles with emissions above the EU's proposed 2020 CO2 framework of 95 g/km, according to a Reuters report.
