GAZ to begin SKD production in Turkey by year-end
Plan to assemble 300 vehicles by the end of 2012, followed by 2,500 units in 2013 and 3,700 units during 2014
GAZ Group and its joint venture (JV) partner Mersa Otomotiv have announced they have started assembling semi-knocked down (SKD) light commercial vehicle (LCV) kits in Turkey, reports Itar-TASS World Service. The project, which has seen Mersa invest EUR15 million (USD19.5 million) in the business, will focus on GAZ's GAZelle Business and Sobol Business models.
