Honeywell, DuPont air conditioning refrigerant safe, says SAE International
Earlier testing by Daimler suggested that the fluid is flammable and releases toxins in certain situations
Automotive engineers group SAE International has defended a new air conditioning refrigerant developed by Honeywell International and DuPont, HFO-1234yf that has been criticised as being potentially unsafe for use in vehicle applications, reports Reuters.
