Mazda has said it plans to boost the production capacity of its under-construction plant in Mexico by the fiscal year ending in March 2016. In a statement, the automaker stated annual output capacity of the plant will be increased to 230,000 units. The plant is likely to start production by March 2014 with initial production capacity of 140,000 units per annum (upa). Earlier, Mazda also said the plant will accommodate additional annual production of nearly 50,000 Toyota-branded vehicles, beginning in the summer of 2015.
