Production at Fiat Auto Poland falls 25% in 2012
IHS Automotive forecasts a significant drop-off in production numbers in 2013
Fiat has announced that production output at the Fiat Auto Poland (FAP) facility has declined by 25% year-on-year (y/y) in 2012 to 348,503 units. This total comprised a combined figure of 293,890 Fiat Group models, including Fiat, Lancia and Abarth models. The breakdown of the Fiat models included 144,089 units of the Fiat 500, 94,002 units of the old Fiat Panda and the 48,524 units of the Lancia Ypsilon. The remaining 55,000 units were the Ford Ka, which FAP builds under a contract manufacturing arrangement with Ford.
