KamAZ's truck production rises 7% in 2012

Russia's largest truck manufacturer KamAZ has increased production by 7% year-on-year (y/y) to 51,400 units in 2012, according to a company press release. The rate of production slipped marginally on the annual monthly running rate in December when the company manufactured 3,900 units. In 2012, KamAZ also stated that it manufactured 54,000 engines and power units, up 4% y/y, and sold spare parts worth RUB14 billion. In the period, the company sold 41,000 trucks to Russian customers and exported 6,400 trucks.
