Finnish-based European Batteries plans to set up a lithium-ion battery production facility for hybrids and electric vehicles (EVs) in Tianjin (China), reports government portal china.org.cn. Total investment in establishing the facility is estimated at CNY2 billion (USD317.7 million). The first phase of the investment project is expected to be completed by October 2013.
