Deal to involve Toyota's proprietary fuel-cell powertrain technology as well as the associated hydrogen storage technology

Toyota is nearing a deal to license its fuel-cell technology to BMW, according to a Nikkei report. The deal will involve Toyota's proprietary fuel-cell powertrain technology as well as the associated hydrogen storage technology the firm has developed. According to the report, BMW will look to develop a prototype with the fuel-cell technology by 2015 with a full production model planned by the end of 2020.
