Will not affect the site's research and development (R&D) operations which have benefited from a GBP1.5-million grant from the UK government
Cummins' turbocharger manufacturing division, Cummins Turbo Technologies, is planning to make redundancies at its site in Huddersfield, United Kingdom, reports the Huddersfield Examiner. The company said that talks were taking place between managers and unions to seek volunteers for the programme which will go towards saving GBP1 million (USD1.6 million) at the site. The company added that it could not give any indications as to how many jobs would go, but added that other measures are also likely to be considered.
