Kumho Tire secures contract to supply tyres to BMW Mini JCW Grand Prix
Deal further strengthens the relationship between the South Korean tyre-maker and the premium automaker
Kumho Tire has secured a contract to supply tyres for the BMW Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) Grand Prix, a high-performance sport version of the compact car, reports Joins.com. Kumho's Ecsta V700 will be used as an OE tyre for the Mini JCW GP, of which only 2,000 limited-edition units are to be produced worldwide. The executive director of Kumho Tire's central research centre, Jung Il-taek, stated: "We have worked with BMW since 2011, when we inked a supply deal with them. We feel proud that a product we manufacture at our plant in Gwangju will be going all over the world with the Mini JCW GP."
