Plans to transfer around half of the site's workforce to its Poissy plant close by

SA Peugeot-Citroën has announced that it has won the support of workers at its Aulnay site on the outskirts of Paris (France) for its closure, reports Reuters. The automaker has already presented plans to transfer around half of the site's workforce to its Poissy plant close by, which were also backed by the CFTC, CGC and SIA unions. According the report, the moves could begin as early as 15 February in response to incidents of intimidation and violence against those defying a call from the CGT union for strike action.
