Hankook's Chinese sales account for 18% of its 2012 revenues
Now holds a 15% market share in China
Hankook Tire's Chinese sales accounted for nearly 18% of its 2012 sales revenues, reports The Korea Herald. The South Korean tire-maker's sales in China topped KRW1 trillion (USD911.2 million) last year as demand soared. As a result, the company now holds a 15% market share in China, competing closely with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co for the position of the second-largest tire seller in the country. Michelin Group leads in the country with roughly an 18% market share.
