Ford's Geelong engine factory will start building V8s previously supplied by Prodrive

Ford has started production of Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) at its Broadmeadows plant in Australia with the Falcon GT, reports the Geelong Advertiser. The Falcon GT is equipped with a V-8 engine. Ford has built a dedicated FPV assembly facility within the Broadmeadows plant. The FPV range currently consists of three 6-cylinder and five V-8 performance models. Currently, the Broadmeadows plant is fitting the V-8 engines stockpiled by Ford's former joint-venture (JV) partner, Prodrive. From April onwards, Ford's Geelong engine factory will start building them.
