Formal announcement anticipated in the second quarter of this year.

General Motors (GM) is considering establishing another production plant in Brazil, reports Dow Jones Global News citing O Estado de S Paulo newspaper. GM's future investment in the country will be subject to the condition that the market continues to grow in excess of 5% every year over the next three years. GM South America president Jaime Ardila was quoted as saying that a formal announcement in this regard may be made in the second quarter this year.
