Mazda is to recall 8,902 units of the Atenza over problems with the vehicle's electric systems that could result in a fire, according to Kyodo News. Around 6,700 units of the Atenza models to be recalled have been sold outside Japan, mainly in Europe. A fire reportedly broke out in a vehicle in Belgium in January, prompting the recall.
