Unrealistic demands could lead to transfer of important part of production to Morocco

Dacia has threatened that it could move some production from its home plant in Pitesti (Romania) to Tangiers (Morocco) if a conflict over wages continues, reports Reuters. The vice-president of Automobile Dacia, Constantin Stroe said in a statement: "If this protest will not end up reasonably and in a mutually beneficial manner and if employees will continue with unrealistic demands, there's a greater probability to transfer an important part of production to Morocco." He added that "the advantage of the plants in Morocco is that an employee earns only 54% of a Romanian employee's salary."
