Tokai Rika to venture into vehicle interior decoration

Technique, based on its unique 3D dry transfer technology, developed in collaboration with plate-making firm Nabe Process Corporation and printing company Fujiko.

Japanese parts supplier Tokai Rika plans to enter the field of vehicle interior decorating, using unique transfer printing technology, reports the Nikkei financial daily. The company has received an order for decorating plastic interior parts in Toyota's Crown luxury sedan. Tokai Rika, which has previously used transfer printing on only limited interior parts such as the shift lever and steering wheel, is undertaking the decoration of multiple interior parts of a vehicle for the first time.
