Toyota has unveiled new criteria for choosing the locations of overseas factories, reports the Nikkei financial daily. The world's largest automaker now primarily focuses on presence of local clusters of autoparts makers, apart from ease in quality control, cost competitiveness and stability of the regional labour and political environment. Toyota aims for "balanced manufacturing in competitive places" at home and abroad, said executive vice-president Atsushi Niimi.
