Audi to focus on reducing weight of next-generation Q7
Will continue to be manufactured at Volkswagen's (VW) plant in Slovakia, alongside the closely related VW Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne
Audi will focus on cutting weight from the second generation of its flagship Q7 sport utility vehicle (SUV) when it is launched next year, according to a report in Automobilwoche. According to the report, the second-generation Q7 will weigh around 363 kg less than the current model, depending on specification. The new Q7 will also be available as a hybrid model and will continue to be manufactured at Volkswagen's (VW) plant in Slovakia, alongside the closely related VW Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne, which has it bodies manufactured there before final assembly in Leipzig, Germany.
