Dongfeng, Renault receive approval for China production

Plant in Wuhan city will have a total annual capacity to build 150,000 passenger cars and supporting engines.

China's State Environmental Protection Department has on 5 June stated that the planned construction of a plant by Dongfeng Motor and French automaker Renault has passed the approval process, reports Sina Auto News. The report also states that the project involves a 150,000 unit plant in Wuhan city, Hubei province, with a total investment of 7.21 billion yuan (USD 1.17 billion). The plant will have a total annual capacity to build 150,000 passenger cars and supporting engines.
