Ford starts shipments of EcoSport from Chennai plant
Becomes the third plant globally to produce the model.
Ford has started shipping its EcoSport sport utility vehicle (SUV) to dealers in India, reports the Press Trust of India. The compact SUV is being produced at Ford's Chennai assembly plant – the third plant globally to produce the model. The model will also be exported from Chennai plant to European markets. The EcoSport is also produced in Brazil and China, while plans are under way for local production in Thailand and Russia.
