China’s Brilliance to use BMW engines in Jinbei models
Results in more than threefold increase in vehicle’s price
Brilliance Auto will begin using BMW engines in the automaker’s own brand of Zhonghua vehicles, reports the South China Morning Post. According to the report Brilliance chairman Wu Xiaoan said its minivan the Jinbei would begin to compete with the Buick GL8 built by GM’s ventures in China and the Mercedes-Benz Viano.
