Ryobi wins engine block order from SGM
To supply SGM from a production base in Dalian in China's Liaoning province, delivering 360,000 units a year by 2016
Japanese supplier Ryobi has won a supply order from Shanghai General Motors (SGM) for four-cylinder aluminium engine blocks, the Nikkei reports. The company will supply SGM from a production base in Dalian in China's Liaoning province, delivering 360,000 units a year to SGM by 2016. In order to meet the supply order, Ryobi will invest 2 billion Japanese yen (USD20.03 million) in its existing plant in Dalian to add seven large casting machines.
