Faurecia confirms headcount cuts in France
Response to declining vehicle production at parent company PSA Peugeot-Citroën
Faurecia has confirmed that it has planning a headcount reduction relating to two French facilities, reports Reuters News. It said in a statement that a factory in Evreux (France) which produces sound insulation and other acoustic components and employing 96 staff will begin winding down at the end of the year. It added that a further 34 jobs producing bumpers at its Bains-sur-Oust (France) facility will also be cut. However, it said that some production of components for the Peugeot 508 and Citroën C5 at Evreux will be transferred to Bains-sur-Oust in late 2013. It also warned that further changes could take place at this site as the dashboard and door panel production are reorganised.
