General Motors (GM) to invest USD691 mil. in Mexico
Investments centre on transmission and engine production in Toluca, Silao, and San Luis Potosi.
General Motors (GM) has announced a series of investments for its facilities in Mexico, totalling USD691 million. The investments centre on transmission and engine production in Toluca, Silao, and San Luis Potosi. USD211 million is going into an expansion at Toluca, which builds V8 and four-cylinder engines. USD349 million goes to a new transmission plant in Siliao where eight-speed transmissions will be built, while USD131 million will be used to expand a next-generation transmission plant in San Luis Potosi.
