Fiat mulls collaboration with PSA on HybridAir powertrain development
While it remains to be seen whether the rumour of a tie-up is correct, PSA is reportedly keen to attract others to become involved in its development plan.
Fiat has been linked with possibly working with PSA Peugeot-Citroën on the French automaker's HybridAir powertrain system, reports Il Giornale. Sources close to Fiat have said that its chief executive officer (CEO), Sergio Marchionne, and its chief operating officer for the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EMEA) region, Alfredo Altavilla, have been studying a possible alliance to work on this system.
