Toyota eyeing 2013 group global output of more than 10 mil. vehicles
Likely to announce the new targets on 2 August together with its April-June earnings results.
Toyota is expected to raise its group global output target (including Daihatsu and Hino) for 2013 to around 10.1 million vehicles from an initial 9.94 million units on the back of stronger-than-expected sales in Japan and exports, reports Kyodo News, citing sources familiar with the plan. The world's largest automaker will set its parent-only production target at 8.9 million units and will raise its domestic output goal by around 200,000 units to over 3.3 million, said the sources.
