Hankook Tire appoints new global purchasing head
Move comes as Hankook intensifies efforts to strengthen the unit and inches forward to becoming one of the top-five tire companies globally by 2014.
Hankook Tire has appointed executive vice-president Kim Hyoung-nam as its global purchasing head, reports The Korea Herald. In his new role, Kim will be responsible for handling Hankook Tire's global purchasing transactions to develop the unit into a more integrated and strategic one. Lee Joo-hak, a spokesman for Hankook Tire stated, "Hankook Tire is fast becoming a global tire manufacturer, which has become a strong motivation for us to bolster our global purchasing team."
