Beiqi Foton to build passenger vehicles in Foshan, China
Plans to produce sport utility vehicles (SUV) and pick-ups.
Chinese automaker Beiqi Foton Motor plans to open a passenger-vehicle production plant in Foshan, in the southern province of Guangdong. A report from SinoCast claims that the automaker has signed a co-operation agreement with the Foshan municipal government for a new production plant in the area. The plant is expected to be in Foshan's Sanshui district and have investment costs of CNY3.2 billion (USD523 million). The automaker plans to produce sport utility vehicles (SUV) and pick-ups.
