Bridgestone opens Asia-Pacific technical centre in Thailand
Bridgestone's first technical centre in Thailand and its sixth worldwide
Japanese tyre-maker Bridgestone has set up a technical centre in Thailand to strengthen its research and development (R&D) capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region, reports the Nation. The centre will oversee new product development, production technology, quality management, and procurement, and will serve as a regional base to enhance safety, environmental compliance, product quality, and delivery at its Asian plants. "By establishing a technical centre close to the markets, Bridgestone will be able to grasp changes in its customers' needs constantly and reflect these in the development of its products," said Yoshiyuki Morimoto, senior vice-president and chief technology officer at Bridgestone.
