Saab's new owner "practically ready" to start production

Early offerings will use turbocharged gasoline engines, before electrically powered vehicles are brought on stream

Saab's new owner National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) is said to be almost ready to restart production, reports Automotive News Europe (ANE). Mikael Oestlund, a spokesman for NEVS told the trade publication that the site at Trollhättan that the company is "practically ready" to begin building cars, and this could take place at "later this year". He added that the company has already recruited 300 workers including team leaders to oversee production.
