French court rules in Daimler's favour in refrigerant dispute

German automaker wins preliminary judgment from France's top administrative court which should see deliveries of A-Class, B-Class, CLA-Class and SL-Class models recommence to French customers in the next few days.

The highest administrative legal court in France, the Conseil d'état, has overturned the ban on type approval and registration of some of Daimler's best-selling Mercedes-Benz cars following the company's refusal to use Honeywell and Du Pont's new R1234yf air-conditioning refrigerant as the company believes it represents an safety risk.
