PSA, BMW to decide on engine JV next year

News

No decision yet despite reports to contrary.

BMW's CEO Norbert Reithofer has said that a decision would be made next year on the future of the partnership with PSA Peugeot-Citroën to develop and manufacture the Prince range of small gasoline (petrol) engines, according to a Reuters report. Speaking on the sidelines of the Frankfurt Motor Show he said, "We agreed with the CEO Philippe Varin from PSA to meet us the next year. Then we will decide later. We have not taken any decision." It was reported last week that the two companies had already made a decision to disband the alliance.
