Ford announces Canadian plant investment
Ford committed to the investment during negotiations with the Canadian Auto Workers last year.
Ford is expected to announce a USD700-million investment in its Canadian assembly plant this week, according to a report in The Detroit News. The investment is said to be going into the Oakville, Ontario, plant – Ford's only Canadian assembly plant, though the company has two engine plants in Canada as well. The plant builds the Lincoln MKX and MKT and Ford Edge and Flex.
