NEVS begins Saab passenger car test production

Great deal yet to do, including reportedly signing deals with around 500 suppliers to ensure a fully built vehicle can be produced.

National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has begun testing passenger car production at its Trollhättan site in Sweden, reports Swedish Radio. The first vehicle off the line yesterday (18 September) was a gasoline (petrol)-powered vehicle based on the Saab 9-3. Mikael Östlund said in an interview, "Today we have produced the first test vehicle. This car does not have all the components that production vehicles will use, but it is important for us to see that the entire production process works".
