Toyota increasing capacity at Zarate, Argentina plant
The increase in production will likely coincide with a major facelift, which is expected to begin to be rolled out throughout the TMC system during the first quarter of 2015.
oyota has announced that its Argentine vehicle production and sales subsidiary, Toyota Argentina SA (TASA), will increase capacity from 92,000 to 140,000 at its Zarate Plant, by the end of 2015, at a cost of JPY17 billion. Production, according to a Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) release, is being increased due to expected increasing demand and growth in Latin America. The growth will largely be for exports, with 110,000 units annually expected to be exported out of Argentina.
