Renault inks local manufacturing deal with Indonesia's Indomobil

Agreement marks Renault's entry into Indonesia, where the company has been considering manufacturing since 2007.

Renault has entered into an agreement with PT Indomobil Sukses International to produce and sell Renault vehicles in Indonesia, according to a statement by the French carmaker. The first Renault car to be produced by Indomobil will be the Duster sport utility vehicle (SUV). Renault will also sell the Koleos SUV and the Mégane RS sporty hatchback in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the two parties plan to extend their collaboration to build other Renault models in Indonesia, starting from 2015.
